The Light

 

This new series is called “The Light”.

Light has always been my main interest in the expression of my abstract landscapes. 

These paintings express my feelings about the light and movement as it also directly responds to the form and movement of the landscape as we see it.  

I do include dynamic sweeping brushstrokes of acrylic paint and this conveys a controlled but dynamic sense of light and movement. Also the base on some has special paper under the paint to make more texture and it can at times seep through as part of the landscape.
